can anyone recommend a reliable pool construction co.? i filled out online forms with both swans and california pools and neither have gotten back to me.

Have you tried Mission Pools? I think they are in Lake Forest, but might go your way.

California Pools has built hundreds of pools in this area and won quite a few international awards for design. I have a California Pool in Orange County and will say it's worth trying to contact them by phone. Check out their website.

The good ones are always busy.
