The cord on the cell is not replaceable or serviceable.

A new cell is in order. Don't get it from that service guy. Buy it on line and save. **

I can't beieve you said it either! In this case, when faced with buying from a local, but incompetent service guy or online, clearly online is the better choice.

wouldn't it be good just to rent a cell and if the cell goes bad the rental company just replaces it with a new cell. Wonder if anyone does that. Hmmm..I think I'd be willing to pay a service company an extra $25 per month to rent the cell..
