I have a Hayward Fiberglass filter tank thats leaking out the bottom. I need to unhook it so i can see the bottom, but i cant get it unhooked. The in/out pvc pipes are attached with a coupler that is supposed to unscrew, but i cant get it to move. What type of tool should i use to get it unscrewed?

Welcome to TFP!!

While it's probably not too much of an issue, I'd check to be sure that the leak is from the bottom of the tank before disassembling it  This is to say, make sure the water you're seeing isn't coming from the air valve, the pressure gauge, the lid, the middle seal or the drain port before disconnecting the unions

Good luck with finding the source of your leak! We'll be here to assist with whatever you find :goodjob:
