How do you unclog a vaccum hose?

After reading some articles, I think my vaccum hose may be clogged. Our filter loses pressure every time we hook the vaccum up and the vaccum is not picking anything up on the pool floor. We had a lot of leaves previously so I think they may have clogged the vaccum hose...

Any ideas how to see if the vaccum hose is clogged or how to unclog it?

Just run water from the hose through it both to check it and to clear it.

if that doesn't work, hook it up reversed - stuff will usually come out easier the way it went in because it piles up on teh original blockage, so the piled up stuff will come out relatively easy.

The other thing is to shake the heck out of it - most clogged hoses will unclog that way
