Pool Automation Suggestions

I have Goldline Control AQ-CO-serial and an RS232 to Ethernet Crestron QM-RMC product and can control ALL my pool/spa controls from my iphone or the WWW. I can give anyone interested the interface code.

sorry to revive the old post, wondering if you can shed some light on crestron. i tried looking through their site, but can't tell exactly what software would need to be had to go with the simple qm rmc mod. i've seen these for about $100 on ebay... i'm really only interested in automating the pool, don't need to add alot else to it. is it just the roomview of do you need xpanel and simpl? i know they keep a pretty tight lock of the s/w....

I'm curious about your respective setups that makes pulling ethernet cable feasible. Did you have separate conduits laid back when the pool was made?

at this point, sisnce the panel all works off of relays anyway, might it be easier to run a separate microcontroller like an arduino with a net shield or something? a bunch of guys run this for controlling sprinkler with an android app, seems like it would be similar....
