I'm BRAND NEW to pool ownership. My wife and I moved to Texas from upstate New York about 3 weeks ago.

Based solely on the advice, suggestions & encouragement from the folks on the TFP forums my pool went from yellow-green to crystal clear in 2 weeks.

They helped me figure out how big my pool was and how the plumbing worked, select a filter to replace my broken one and gave me tips on installing the new one.

The stickies were also invaluable in fixing the water, as was the pool calculator & TF Test Kit.

I just wanted to give a hearty THANK YOU to everybody who chimed in on my threads and to encourage newcomers to try fixing their own pools - it's not as tough as you think it is.
