Waterproofing the skimmer

Hi,

I have a poured cement pool in which I'll be adding a skimmer this week. The section of wall where it is going is being repaired so the skimmer will be fully incased in cement in a single pour. Does the cement flowing around the mouth of the skimmer make a waterproof seal or do I need to do something else? Is there a sealant that I'll need to put around the mouth of the skimmer?

The mouth (are you using a Swimquip U-3 skimmer?) will be angled and all plastic, and you will tile into the mouth. That will create a watertight seal.

Not even at the waterline? That is going to be tough to keep clean.
