Forgive my stupidity but if I wanted to raise the FC level in my pool(which uses a copper based algacide) from the usual .5 to 1ppm maybe even 1.5ppm how much chlorine should I add. Its about a 14000 gal. pool and I bought some liquid chlorine in a big jug from the pool store. I've never used chlorine before other than the weekly dichlor shock packets.

You need to find the percentage of the liquid chlorine. It should be clearly marked on the package. 6%, 10% and 12.5% are common strengths.

To raise FC by 1 in 14,000 gallons takes 21 oz of 6%, 12 oz of 10%, or 10 oz of 12.5%.

You can use my Pool Calculator, see the link in my signature, to make calculations like this.
