Hello,

Does anyone know of a second coat of Acrylic paint is still recommended if new primer has already been applied to bare plaster? I was thinking maybe I can skip the second coat of paint to save some money. Any advice will be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Painting a plaster pool is a short term solution to a long term problem. If you are painting to eek a few more years out of a worn out plaster finish then I wouldn't skip any steps. You won't be saving anything if you have to do it all again next season.

Looks like you are supposed to be using the epoxy paint if you use the primer, just an FYI. And only 1 coat is needed.
