I have read a lot of post about pump and filter sizes 2 speed pumps etc. What would you consider the idea pump and filter size for a 30' AGP. I am going to purchase a pool in the next cpl weeks and want to get some ideas on correct sizes so i dont buy one and then wish i had something different. I am also going to attach a solar heater if that makes a diffrence.

I'd suggest a medium head 1hp 2-speed pump and at least a 250lb filter if you're going with sand, 300lb would be better.
About a 3/4 -1 HP pump. A 2-speed would pay for itself within a couple of years at the most so I'd sure do a 2 speed.
Get a big filter. I'd suggest about a 250 perhaps 300 sand filter or the equivalent in DE or cartridge.
