Normal dirt--chlorine usage?

I'm wondering if just having normal dirt or grass clippings and such from just getting in and out of the pool affects chlorine usage in between vacuuming times--say once a week. I guess you could include in this small dead bugs, small leaves and the like the skimmer doesn't catch. If it does, is it on par with kiddie accidents and the like? Thanks for your thoughts.

Grass clippings, bugs, etc have an effect, but only a very tiny one, probably not enough to notice.

Hi Woody...the less organic matter the better, but that said your typical leaves/bugs will not affect your usage as dramatically as pee in the pool. It has a slight effect, but not much. As long as you keep your FC up, you will be fine.
