Vacum hose keeps getting wound up

My vacum hose for Hayward navigator keeps getting wound up into itself. I straighten out the line, then 5 minutes later back ago to where it was.

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

If you haven't tried this already, it might help to straighten it out where it can receive full sun and let it get warm, then put it in the pool.
