Any tips to use to get the belly clamp on and off?

I just switched to the new style, and seeing from the posts that the new style is somewhat of a pita.
The old design with 16 bolts and nuts are starting to sound better. I'll know at the end of the season how much of a problem it is.
Waste any tips to use to get the belly clamp on and off?

Not sure if the belly clamp you have is like my Pentair Clean and Clear cartridge but when putting it back on we tap lightly with a rubber mallet all around to help it slide as it is tightened. It takes two of us to get it started, to be sure it is on correctly before the tightening begins.
