valve filter problem/question

the control on the top of the valve( the one to switch from filter to wast to backwash etc.) is leaking, right from the black handle where is has the little arrow pointing to each position. how can this be fix if at all. or do i need to replace it
its coming out more no then it was last week.

You can take the top off those valves and replace the o-rings and gaskets in them. You should also replace the spider gasket while you have it apart. Be sure to lube them when you're putting it back together.

are these parts readily avval at the pool supply? what type of lub? vaseline?

Yes, the parts are usually available at your local pool store. Do Not use vaseline!! It's a petroleum based product and will attack the rubber.

Use silicon pool lube. Your pool store will have that too.
