Testing CCs without testing FC

Is there a quick way to test for CCs without going through the entire chlorine drop test?

Or at least a way to use the drop test without testing for FC first?

Nope. To measure CC with the FAS-DPD chlorine test, you must first measure the FC level. The only shortcut you can take is that you don't have to count the number of drops in the FC phase of the test (which doesn't really help).
