winterizing with bbb

ok..the bbb method is working well for me this 1st year i've tried it..what do we do over the winter once i've drained water below lowest hole & put winter cover on (or b4 that i should say) i'm guessing this will happen late sept sometime, anything special to do to the water?

Typically you double check that the PH is adjusted properly, shock the pool, and add some PolyQuat before closing.

Do you shock before or after lowering the level of water?

Shock before lowering the water. You want the pump running when you add chlorine to get it well mixed.

I was going check pH, add chlorine and polyquat, then drain and cover but wasn't sure if that was the right way.
