Pool Filter 2 inch pipe reduced to 1.5 inch

I have a new Hayward filter I just bought. It accepts 1.5 inch pipe VS. 2 inch pipe on my current old filter. Am I going to have any problems installing reducer fittings (2 inch to 1.5 inch) on the pump and return lines?
