Aiming the returns (jets)

Probably a dumb question but for my two eyeball returns. Is there a right way to position for proper circulation? I have attached my lame drawing to try and show where the returns are in relationship to the skimmers. As you can see, it's a very curvy, free form pool.

Get a bunch of ping pong balls and toss them in different locations and see how long it takes them to make to the skimmers. Adjust for the best circulation.

Here's where I'd start.
The left bottom return I'd aim across the pool toward the middle of the straight side.
The right return I'd aim as for to the right as I could get it.
I'd angle both of them slightly down with the one handling the deep end pointed more down than the other.

Thanks for the tip. No deep end. Sport pool with 5.5 in middle and steps on both ends and 3.5 ft.
