Fix small leak in Hayward Sp-710x32 valve

There is a small crack in this valve which is leaking a very small amount, but it is still leaking.
I thought of just using some PVC glue on it, but that isn't the same as plastic is it?
There is a sticker on the side saying don't use anything that isn't safe with plastic.

So is there some sort of chem. glue you can put on this valve to seal a very small crack?

Attaching a pic with a little arrow showing where the leak is.

Rough the area with sandpaper clean it well. Then mix up some plastaid (you can make plastaid black with a few drops of acrylic paint). Wait for the plastaid to get sticky and stringy then make a repair over the crack (make a ring of plastaid around the pipe). Before it's completely dry put a pipe clamp over the repair and tighten until the plastaid barely starts to squeeze through the notches in the clamp. It shouldnt take much pressure, the clamp is only for support of the plastaid so pressure doesn't crack it off
