Old Liner

I recently bought a used 27' JW Aluminum pool. I was wondering if anyone has ever used the old liner to put down on the bottom under the sand. I was planning on doing this when I start assembly this weekend.

Welcome to TFP I have not done this personally, but can not think of why that would be a bad idea. Certainly should provide some extra protection, just make sure it has no wrinkles before laying the new liner over it

It's a tried and true method and a good use for some of that old liner, the rest can be used to cover the woodpile.
