The old pump (age not known since it was here with the old pool when we bought the house last summer) started leaking along the top where the bump knob was, so we got a new one.
I'd like to use Fiber Clear, but I'm not sure how much to use.
We got a Hayward DE50c90 kit (filter and pump). The manual says 5lbs of DE, but Fiber clear is measured in scoops.
Going by the Fiber Clear bag, it gives a rating of scoops per filter size. The Hayward manual says the DE50 has an "effective filtration size of 25FT2" So I'm assuming 25ft2 is what I should use when looking at the Fiber Clear bag??
When adding the number of scoops for 25 square feet filter, the pressure never changes, unlike when I added DE to the old filter.
How do I know how much fiber clear is enough?
