I have a 24' round aboveground pool with a deep area that is 6' 7"...when I added shock to the water it turned a gold color everywhere it went in the water. It eventually turned to a clear slightly tinted green color all thru the water. I have never had this happen before and I have been doing this for 10 yrs now. I talked to a pool pro and he suggested adding some baking soda to the water and when I did it also turned that gold color and eventually back to the clear green tint. All of my test readings are good so I am rather frustrated that this has happened...any ideas? All help and ideas are greatly appreciated.
