Stupid question...Anyone use either flexible pvc hose or the clear flexible to plumb the skimmer to pump and return line? I really don't want to use pvc pipe and the pool hoses come prefitted, but I need to mod them.

Lots of people use flexible PVC to plumb their pools. I'd be careful on the skimmer side using clear tubing unless it's rated for vacuum service.
