Merely trying to beat Grace to the punch ( :lol: ), put the CYA in a sock and suspend it from a ladder or anything else...preferably near some good waterflow and not touching the sides of the pool.
A few weeks ago I was desperately battling green water, putting algaecide, etc. Well, I finally got the water tested for copper and iron, and I had copper. So I bought some "pool magnet," and within a few days, my water was gorgeous. So the lesson here is not to assume that all green water is algae.
