ok, pool has been great since opening. On Tuesday I added some salt (nonSWG) to bring the salt to 1500. Since that change I can not keep CL? All other levels are good PH 7.5 TA 100, CH 220, CYA 50 :?
I have been using a DPD Taylor 2005 kit with no issues.

Salt is unrelated to the pools ability to maintain FC. Most likely you have unseen organics (algae) in your pool and it needs to be shocked.

ok, Will try the shock route? just added 1 jug that should get it to 5 then will head out to get more?

FC 5 would be a normal level for CYA 50. Definitely go get more jugs, for shocking you want FC up in the 15-20 neighborhood.

When shocking it helps a great deal to go up to shock level all at once. If you add 5 ppm of chlorine now and 5 ppm of chlorine later you won't kill anywhere near as much algae as if you add 10 ppm of chlorine all at once.

used Cal hypo along with the Bleach to get to shock level....
