I have 2 skimmers, plumbed together, and the one closest to the pump draws water a lot faster. If I close the flow control slide plate a little on the skimmer that is drawing more water, will the other skimmer increase it's draw? In other words will they draw more evenly? Thanks.

Yes, if you can find the correct setting for the slide plate you can balance out the skimmers.
