Well, the screeching of the pump has finally led to the pumps demise. 
Running very hot and tripping the thermal overload. I had hoped that I could just replace the bearings but the thing is so corroded that I have given up. What do the folks in the know recommend for a new pump? Out going motor is a 1 hp 1.25SF A.O. Smith motor under the guise of Sta-Rite, hooked to a Dura-Glas II pump. Pool is 35,000 gallon, 20x40, 3ft shallow, 9 ft deep end. I just starting running 240sq ft of solar this season. The house was abandoned when we moved in so we have no history of the equipment. Pump definitley looks like it has more then a few miles on it. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
