Hi...I'm SURE this question has been answered, but I'm inept at 'searching'!!

My pool is almost back to sparkling blue again!! YAY!! Still slight CL drop this morning. HERE's the question:
It's a beautiful, HOT day here in SW Florida. The pool is beautiful.................can we swim????

I tested the CL this morning...it was about 13. I added more to boost to 19 about 3 hours ago. (there are some sad and pleading faces looking at me.......)

haven't done a full battery of tests since I started 'shocking' on Tuesday. Here's what I had then:

pH was 7.8 (I have added acid since)
tA 70
CH 115
CYA 30
Salt 2800

Been trying to keep Cl at 19, but it does drop.

Based on the Chlorine CYA Chart, you are below shock level once your FC is less than 12 ppm (since your CYA is 30).

BTW, are you keeping a CYA of 30 only because you have been shocking? Typically, you would want a CYA between 60 and 80 when running a SWCG.
