the pool I have is Intex 16' x 48" Metal Frame Pool and I am looking @ adding Cartridge filter and Pump to it since the one that came with wont handle adding a SOLAR BEAR SOLAR POOL HEATER any help would be nice.

I'm using an intex 8111 (swg plus 2000gph pump) with my solar bears - works great, but I have the panels mounted near ground level which makes it easier on the pump than what would be needed for a roof-mount setup.
jml hit on the big question, are your panels going to be on the ground or on the roof?
Are you planning on getting a bigger more permanent pool in the near future?
What have you looked at so far?
I recommend going with the largest filter you can afford and a 2-speed pump. Either a 3/4hp full rated or 1hp uprated. I like the Pentair clean & clear combo's but they're only single speed pumps.

ok I have done some looking around and I think I found something that will work
