Safe chlorine levels to swim in....

So how much chlorine is too much to swim in? Is it proportional to the size of the pool?

No, pool size has nothing to do with it. Your CYA level determines the suitable chlorine level. Check the Chlorine CYA Chart

Thats not what I was referring to. How much chlorine is TOO MUCH to swim in? When is it not safe to swim in the water when the chlorine levels are high (what is considered HIGH)?

Anything up to shock level is safe...(though some will swim above shock level too).
