Equipment pad for 15x30 on-ground pool (pictures)

Hi,

i am planning my equipment pad (1-1/5 pump, sand filter, SWG, maybe heater later). I am thinking about 3x4 concrete pad 4 inches thick, lowered into the ground (one foot or so) so sand filter do not sticking out (will cover everything with wooden deck later). Wanted to run it by you folks, does 3x4 will be enough or I need to go 3x7 ? How close to my aluminum pool wall I can go?

Sounds like a good idea. Just got my pool up and they installed filter and pump on one of those plastic air conditioner pads as another idea for you. Had my pool buried 2 ft. is your buried some also?

Mine is 54 inches deep buried 4 feet on one side and 2 feet on other. It is alluminum but does not hold backfill very well - I need to fill it in with water and then backfill.
