My 40k gallon pool passed inspection and is ready for water, so I started this thread for advice on initial set up. I anticipate a few days for fill time. I tested my city water with the Taylor kit and found:
pH 7.8
TA= 130
CH=330
Therefore, my plan is to simply fill the pool and start the pumps, with perhaps just a small amount of liquid chlorine as it fills. Then, I will use the pool calculator to determine how much CYA to add and put the CYA in.
Anything I'm missing?
