opening my pool question about cya

is there still alot of cya in the pool from last year? or will i have to add a little to get level back up? i havent tested the cya cause it got dark on me last night when water level filled filter and return line and skimmer,i just dumped 128 oz 12.5% bleach turned on pump so it would have some chlorine today when i am gone dont want any alge blooms, i was going to wait until tonight when i get home form work to test cya and hope someone chimes in the meantime

so i guess it is important to do overnight fc test until it holds and all cc's are comsumed?


pool is real clean this year when cover came off real happy we switched from baquapoop

Testing is the only way to tell. Mine is pretty well zero every spring, but others have a significant level from the previous year.
