Filter Debris

My pool is located around a bunch of trees. I am constantly getting debris in my skimmer
which is small enough to get to my pump basket. My concern is this tiny stuff is eventually
making its way into my filter and will eventually contaminate/clog it. Is there any kind of
finer screen or mesh I can put in my skimmer or pump basket to further filter out the tiny
debris that may be going into my filter. Thanks

Check out "skimmer socks" or rig knee-high hose to cover your basket.

Be careful not to go too long without checking it, as you could starve the pump of water if it accumulates too much debris.
