new sand filter and vinyl liner

As noted in the subject line, we are replacing the vinyl liner and a grossly inadequate cartridge filter with a sand filter. (happy, happy, Joy, joy!!!!) I forget the new filter sand capacity- 300# or 350# I believe.

Any special start up instructions for either filter or liner? Precautions??

Filter: Prior to sending any water to the pool on the 1st startup, set the multiport to Rinse. This will flush any sand dust out the backwash pipe rather than in the pool. Might take all of 30 seconds.

Liners don't need any special startups like plaster. Just balance it and get chlorine in the proper amounts.
