Shocking once again tonight. Have some questions

1st Shock #'s

PH 7.5
FC 12.5
CC 1.0
TC 13.5
CYA 70

Did calculator added 4.1 jugs tested
2nd Shock

FC 37.5
CC 1.5
TC 39

Now what just wait for another hour and test again until CC is .5?

Yes wait an hour and test and add.
Read Pool School on how to shock, especially the part on knowing when you're done.
Keep at shocking
till the CC's are .5 or less,
You lose 1 or less on the overnight chlorine drop test.
And the water is clear, if you don't have a FAS-DPD test kit.

Thanks using a FAS-DPD test kit received yesterday. Algae is still present at 1.5 correct?

It actually means that the chlorine is killing organics which is most likely algae.

sunlight will help burn off the CC's tomorrow...you should see a lower number late afternoon

It's way late for your question, but I just wanted to mention, at a FC of 37, you're WAY higher than needed shock levels. You only need to keep it at about 20-25. Anything higher and I'd be afraid of the liner fading.

Thanks maybe i didn't do the test right........ Staying today around 28 w/CYA of 70. Getting better adding less and less chlorine. Still have CC1 waiting for the magic .5. Thanks for the input.

Still shocking today adding less and less chlorine but can't break the CC1. Still a little cloudy I need to vacuum raining today and tomorrow. But I'm still running the numbers hope to see the sparkle tomorrow :-D Once i have CC.5 i will re check the other numbers and see if I need to make any other adjustments. Thanks for asking
