AutoPilot "Force Reverse" Function

On the Digital Pool Pilot, I am wondering what the "Force Reverse" function does on the maintenance menu.

That is not something you would ever have a need to use. It reverses the polarity of the cell. The unit will normally reverse polarity automatically every several hours to reduce scale buildup. A technician would use that function, along with a multimeter, to verify that the reverse polarity circuit was working.
