Solar salt?

I've been reading here about adding some solar salt to make the water silkier feeling and possibly prevent skin drying, and I think I'd like to try that. But what's solar salt? Is that like Morton's water softener salt?

Yes. It comes in a blue bag and is labelled "Solar Salt" and says 99.5%.
