The pool store is recommending we try something called "super blue." The lady said that it sticks to the sand and helps the finer particles adhere to it and helps to clean up the pool. Any opinion on this?

Its a clarifier.
If your FC is holding overnight but you are still having some residual cloudiness, you can try clarifier.

If you are trying to get more of the fine particles out of the water you can add some DE to your filter. I did it about a month ago, and the water is so clear, even at night with the lights on
