Crepe myrtles

hi Shane1, the red blossoms are crepe myrtles. They're a small-medium sized tree that grows well in the South. They come in white, pink, lavender, purple, and red. They're a good summer bloomer, but yes, when the petals fall, it can be a mess. Usually about once a week I get the leaf blower out and blow it all off the patio area and away from the pool.

Crepe Myrtles are definitely NOT a low-litter plant. They stain the heck out of my driveway and drop petals and stuff all over my cars. But they are Beautiful! Just gotta be prepared if you put em around a pool that you will have more maint to do with them.
