I moved into this house in 2018, and renovated the pool in April 2019. The person who lived here before stated that the pool light never worked, despite 5 electricians looking at it. The pool was installed in 1987. Whoever installed the light nicked the cord, so the hot wire was exposed and was tripping the GFCI breaker (thank God!). Part of the remodel was to replace the light with a low voltage LED. I also discovered that the pool was installed with the main drain sealed off. Oh well, I didn't fix that. I still have some work to do fixing the coping, but it's been a joy to have a pool during this hot, beautiful summer.

Thanks. Yes, hybrid. It's called a Family Fun pool. Main | Family Fun Pools
The old paint was very chalky, to the point it was clogging the filter. Many spots were worn to bare concrete. It was acrylic paint, which I discovered by dissolving a paint sample in different chemicals. Then, I acid washed and primered with a conversion primer. I used a 2 part epoxy paint from Olympic.
