Source for Muriatic Acid - How much to pay?

I have been unable to find a source to purchase muriatic acid in my area that is any more competitive in pricing then the pool stores. I am located in Cleveland, Ohio and am finding acid to cost $5 a gallon or close to that everywhere I find it. Anyone have another source? What does everyone else pay for acid?

I do my shopping at Lowes. I normally buy 2 x 1 gallon jugs for just under $10 + tax. Most home improvement stores and several Feed stores in our area carry acid as well. Good luck with your search.

Check out the hardware stores like Ace Hardware and TrueValue. They might have it in the paint department but most carry it.

$5 a gallon is a good price. I pay $5 or $6 per gallon from Lowe's, I think.

My local Leslie's has it in a two-gallon case for about $6.

I just paid $4.69 a gallon (also 1 quart available for $1.99) at Menards, if that's an option for you. It's back in the paint section.
