??'s re: installing beaded liner

We have a beaded liner. To replace it, does the top metal piece that goes around the top of the pool have to be removed? Is it a do-it-yourself project or something that really needs to be done by a pro?

Thanks!

On a beaded liner pool the bead channel stays in place when replacing the liner. Provided you're pretty handy, it's a do-it-yourself job. The trick is to take your time and make sure everything is perfect as you go.

That is correct, you will NOT have to remove the rail or caps to replace a beaded liner. They are pre-measured and "fitted" to your pool so they are meant to hang in the space correctly, vs an overlap that you rely more on hanging over sides and stretching in for the fit. Mind you it will still need to "stretch" in somewhat so do not try to install it on a cold or cloudy day - sunny and warm is best for all liner replacements so that the vinyl will more easily stretch into the remaining spaces. Good luck and hoping you have sunny days.
