wind and solar blanket

Hi
I was wondering if anyone had any good tricks to keeping you solar blanket on in the wind... We have the reel at one end and the wind keeps pushing all the blanket down to the end with the reel... We live were the wind blows allot!!!!
I know its kind of a dumb Question but was wondering what everyone does with this problem. We just had a chair blow in the pool to.
any ideas would sure help!!!

Some people use water-filled jugs to weigh down the cover. I suppose it might be possible to rig some kind of tie-down system as well.

Jug user here... I fill my empty bleach jugs with pool water and set them on top of the cover, about a foot or so in from the edge. Works everytime.

LOL I have this mental image of your pool covered in jugs - mine only needs about 3-4 to do the job, so experiment but you shouldn't need too many.

The following suggestion has a very high "that was dumb" factor, but...How about if you put the reel at the other end so it 'anchors' the cover from blowing away?

i have thought of that, but i have steps and a ladder at the other end... suppose to blow 50mph and gust to 70 tomorrow..
I think we are in the land of OZ, wonder what Dorothy would think of this wind LOL
I cant wait unitl the weather warm up so i can just leave the solor cover off....
