Hi All,

Our pool was opened today!

Initial Readings
FC: 0
CC: 0 (this confuses me, but I am OK with it)
CYA: 20
PH: 7.2
TA: 20
Water Clarity: Dull, with visible algae on walls and floor. Main drains were visible.

Added bleach and trichlor tabs(to bring up CYA.)
FC was 18 two hours later.
Spent 2 hours brushing and vacuming.
Gave the Dolphin Dynamic a workout.
And this is what I get Woot Woot!

I'll work on the CYA and TA over the next few days.

Where's the visible algae?

I suggest you get that TA up this evening or tomorrow morning - use baking soda. Target 70 and add half the calculated dose. Let it circulate about 2 hours and test it again, recalculate and add more to reach your target. Test the PH again.

Why does the CC confuse you?

With a green pool and 0 FC, I would assume CC would register greater then 0.
I will work on the TA/PH tomorrow.

If the fc had been 0 for some time, there was no fc to combine with anything and make cc! so zero makes sense there. Looks like you had a TFP opening!

So it was blue when you opened it, and now it's this dark teal green? Odd.

I am not sure if you were kidding or not, but it was green at 11AM when I opened it, and now it is blue.
I posted the green picture to show what it looked like when I opened it (compared to how it looked a few hours later.)
