i have a Pentair Rainbow 300 feeder designed for 3" Trichlor tablets and would like to use it for 3" Cal-Hypo Tablets. Has anyone done this or see any problems? I don't want to add chlorine every night or go back to using Tri-Chlor.

Thanks

That really won't work at all. Cal-hypo dissolves very quickly compared to trichlor. Anything designed to work with trichlor is going to feed in way too much water and the cal-hypo will all end up in the pool in short order. Also, you never want to put cal-hypo into a chlorinator that has held trichlor in the past.

There are a few chlorinators designed to work with cal-hypo, but they are difficult to find and don't seem to be reliable long term.
