The stain is like a brownish color that is clear in the center and gets darker as it goes out. It is on the walls and the floor of the pool. I rubbed it with a chlorine tablet and it did not lighten. I do not have any vitamin C on me but did try some Jacks Magic blue and it has also not lightened. Oddest looking stain I've ever seen.
That sounds more like iron than anything else, try vitamin C when you have a chance.
