Heat Pump Question

So my Kopec 450sc heat pump quits after 4 years. No worry, I have a 5 year warranty. Make the call... "Sorry this number has been disconnected".... Ouch!

So after 4 years and since I live in South Florida, only using this unit a handful of times (less than 10) it has an issue. "Luckily" for me it was a capacitor issues so less than a $200 fix.

So now my question. What can I do to keep this unit from suffering a premature death? Do I need to cycle it on every couple months?

Thanks in advance!

Well I own a HVAC company and a capacitor costs $10 to $20. Not a bad idea to cycle on once a week, move the oil around in the system keeping internal parts lubricated.
