Flash Programmer's???????

I am interested in up dating my program on my easytouch motherboard to version 2.080. I have version 1.060 now. I understand I need a flash programmer, but what kind and how much. I did look at some flash programmer's at P & E but they are expensive. I would like to try to do this myself, or would it be better for a pb to update it. It always comes down to $$$$$.

From what I have seen, the 2.x firmware is not compatible with EasyTouch 1.060 and older hardware.

EasyTouch Boards shipped prior to 5/5/08 (i.e. EasyTouch 1) cannot be programmed with version 2.010 or higher.
EasyTouch Boards shipped since 5/5/08 (Easytouch 2) should be programmed with version 2.010 or higher.

There should be a creation date/ver. "sticker" on the CPU of the board.

If you don't want to get a flasher, PE is the right one BTW, you will have to "hire" someone with one to get the update. Providing you can accept the update.
