I'm having a problem with the temperature readings on my IG spa/pool......pool equipment (Pentair Easy Touch) is reading 116 degrees while the actual temp is more like 74 degrees. I tried to recalibrate the temp under settings, but the change doesn't stick for some reason. Any ideas? Bad sensor (it's not even a year old)?

Did this just start to happen or did it always do this? Check the location of the temperture sensor. It should be before the heater. Otherwise it could just be a bad sensor.

You have a bad temp sensor. If it is under a year, it can be replaced under warranty.
Let me ask (add) this question: What if the temp sensor and the heater are only 4-6 off of each other? Which is "off"? What would you consider an acceptable +/- temp differential?

I don't normally recalibrate unless there more than a 2 degree delta from an actual reading.

Thanks for the help (and quick response!), that's what I figured......will put the call in tomorrow to the warranty dept. and see what kind of response I get.

If you have solar, before you call, make sure you haven't by accident wired the solar sensor to the water temp sensor bus, and vice versa.
